  1. Thank you so much, Chris! I'm glad you like the site. I agree with you, it would have been wonderful to have had at least another series or two of FOTSW.

Although I started watching LOTSW as a child, I only caught up with all the episodes I missed a few years ago when they were on TV. It's always a lovely, cosy watch, I find.

You are right too about the FOTSW lot catching up in age to when the older lot started - in fact, the young members of the cast were obviously a little older than the characters they were playing, so the actors will already be in their fifties, or heading there soon (I hope they don't mind me stating!).

I'm afraid I've not added more to this site in recent years, what with life getting in the way, but I'll try and get back on track as I still have so many pictures to screencap and put in the gallery.

  2. Hi Guys

being 10 years old when LOTSW started you would rightly assume that I missed (perhaps avoided?) most of the original series. However being 49 now I have fallen in love with it for the first time, mostly catching up with it on UK GOLD. Series link is very useful. I then accidentally came across FOTSW and have thoroughly enjoyed it, not enough of them made.

It's rather worrying to think that it won't be too long that FOTSW catches up with LOTSW. Clegg was 17 in Series 1 of FOTSW (1988) and would be 45 now. Peter Sallis was only 52 when LOTSW started.

It all goes too quick. Lovely site to a program that it would have been great to have another few series of.

  3. Hi there, David!

I'm so thrilled you like the site - hope I've done the series proud. I couldn't let its quarter-century anniversary go by without marking it in some small way. Big thanks to you too for your terrific performance in the show and for your generous spirit towards fans like myself. Here's hoping FOTSW gains many more viewers now it's on DVD. All the best. Mari. Xx
